FAQs

What should I expect at my first visit?

The first visit will be a clinical evaluation and physical examination with Dr. Peng and she will make neurological recommendations accordingly. New patients may be eligible for telemedicine appointments and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Telemedicine appointments are available for follow up appointments unless in-office visits are deemed necessary by the doctor.

How do I get a medication refill?

Dr. Peng will prescribe medication to last until the recommended follow-up appointment. Prescriptions will generally require an appointment.* Many prescriptions can be called or sent electronically to the pharmacy.

*Controlled substances require an in-person appointment, by law.

How do I get lab/test results?

The test results will be discussed at your follow-up visit, unless abnormal results warrant urgent medical attention – our office will call you to initiate medical treatment or secondary referrals.

How do I reschedule my appointment?

Give us a call, we’d be happy to assist. Kindly notify us at least 24 hours prior to a normal appointment, and 48 hours prior to a procedure (EEG/VTM, etc).

What should I do if there is an after-hours emergency?

Dr. Peng is available 24 hours a day just by calling the main office and following the voice prompts. For very urgent matters you should call 911 or seek immediate medical attention.
